Asparagus Ingredients

  • 1 lb asparagus spears trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • ¼ cup fresh grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼-½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Cooking Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
  • Arrange asparagus in a single layer on a baking sheet. Brush with olive oil. Roast for 5 minutes.
  • Remove the pan from the oven and sprinkle the minced garlic and grated parmesan cheese over the top. Roast the asparagus for about 5 additional minutes or just until tender.
  • Season with kosher salt and fresh ground black pepper to taste.

Notes

Cook the asparagus just until they are tender, about 10-15 minutes depending on thickness. Best served warm with a lemon wedge. Leftovers can be stored for up to 3 days.
